Our story

From lecture hall
to boardroom.

We grew up with our clients’ IT landscapes. The Euro, Y2K, the first EA tools, the cloud, now AI: every wave changed the work, but not the job. A few milestones from thirty years.

1995

Founded at a university chair

Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar and Dr. Bettina Schwarzer found ITM as a spin‑off of the Chair of Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim. The premise: research‑grade rigour, applied to real IT management and IT landscapes.

1998–2000

Euro and Y2K

We deliver a large‑scale IT landscape transformation for the Euro introduction, followed by a large‑scale Y2K assessment. Working through large and complex application landscapes becomes our core business.

2002

Partnership with Alfabet

We become an Alfabet partner. Enterprise architecture tooling turns from a side topic into a key enabler.

2006

Portfolio rationalization in automotive

Large‑scale application portfolio rationalization in the automotive industry. The industry has stayed a focus of our work ever since.

2015

Partnership with LeanIX

We join the LeanIX partner ecosystem early. Reports from our development now run in more than 350 SAP LeanIX workspaces worldwide.

2023

Full-scale LeanIX rollouts

Full‑scale SAP LeanIX rollouts in the automotive industry: tool, methodology and adoption, from first workshop to daily use.

2025

MCP-based solutions for EA

We build MCP‑based solutions that connect EA repositories to AI assistants, so architecture data can be queried and used where decisions are made.

Today

EA and BPM for complex transformations

A specialist for enterprise architecture and business process management in complex transformation programs, and a certified SAP and Bizzdesign partner.
